Uploading a Recorded Transcript to Transcribe

Overview

ELSA allows you to upload an existing audio file and generate a transcript in seconds. This is ideal when language samples are recorded outside the platform.

Step-by-Step: Uploading a Recording

1. Start a New Language Sample

  • Enter the child’s name
  • Select the story stimulus (e.g., Frog, Where Are You?)
  • Skip familiarization if already completed

2. Upload the Audio File

  • Click Upload
  • Drag and drop your audio file into the upload box

3. Refresh to Generate Transcript

  • Click Refresh
  • The transcript appears automatically

⏱️ A 4–5 minute sample transcribes in seconds.

Step 4: Edit the Transcript

  • Click Edit
  • Play the audio while making quick corrections
  • Prepare the transcript for analysis
