Step-by-Step Instructions

Calculating Age

  1. Navigate to Tools from the main navigation
  2. Click Chronological Age Calculator
  3. Enter the Date of Birth using the date picker or by typing the date
  4. Enter the Testing Date (defaults to today's date)
  5. The calculator automatically computes the age

Reading the Results

The calculator displays:

    • Full Age: Format as years;months;days (e.g., 9;6;10)
    • Age in Years: The number of years
    • Age in Months: The number of months
    • Age in Days: The number of days
    • Cumulative Months: Total age in months

Copying Results

  1. Click the Copy button next to any value to copy it to your clipboard
  2. Paste the value into your evaluation or report
  3. The full age format (years;months;days) is commonly used in evaluations

Understanding the Calculation

The calculator:

    • Accounts for leap years when calculating age
    • Handles varying month lengths correctly
    • Uses component-wise subtraction (year, month, day)
    • Borrows from months when days are negative
    • Borrows from years when months are negative
